The CV joint, or the half-wheel axle, comprises a universal joint and the constant velocity (C/V) joint. The half-wheel axle is a vital part of an UTV/ Side by Side. The simple intrusion of water or sand can contaminate and cause failure. The experts at Feldmann Power visually inspect the CV joint boots for traces of wear or cracks on the bellows or grease outside the boot. If the grease is discolored or contaminated, the C/V joint is likely damaged.
